Condolence from Chris and Laura Skiba on January 11th, 2024 3:06 pm

Our condolences go out to the family for such a devastating loss. Uncle Selby has been such an inspiration to me and I’ve had just so many great memories of him. He will always be remembered for his humour and his kindness. One thing that sticks out when I was younger is when he used to chew snuff and wanted me to put my new shoes within spitting distance lol. It’s just these small things that make you smile. The heavens have such a great soul up there. Sending our deepest sympathies to all of you.

Chris, Laura, Zachary and Theoren

Condolence from Linda Riench (Skiba) and family on January 11th, 2024 4:12 pm

To Irene and all of the Skiba family and to Selby’s many friends:
I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to each of you at this sad time. I and my family have so many fond memories of
“ Uncle Selby”. He was well respected and a dedicated hard worker who was an expert in his trade- operating heavy equipment and trucks ; especially that backhoe. He was always friendly and fun to be around; always sharing a good laugh or two. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Rest in peace Selby. God bless you.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Uncle Selby. I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the special bonds we shared through our work in the telephone industry. Uncle Selby was a remarkable individual his passion for his work was truly inspiring I will always cherish the memories we created, the stories we shared and the knowledge gained from our experiences in the industry. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love Vern and Lorie
