Mom owned her own store with dad for over 18 years from 1965-1983. She was a part of the Hospital Guild for over 40 years and worked as a Home Care aide for 15 years. Mom loved to play bingo, dominos, cards, and do crossword puzzles. She was a seamstress before she got married. She handmade the wedding gowns for her three daughters. She also loved her coffee time with the ladies, games with the grandchildren, gardening, flowers, time spent with family and friends, socializing, and cooking family meals. Jeanne was a lifelong member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Whitemouth. She always put others ahead of herself.
Many thanks to the staff at the Pinawa Hospital, The Whitemouth Health Centre and Home Care Staff for all the care and compassion they showed to our mother; a special thank you to Dr. Bruneau and CancerCare.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, February 23 at 1:00 p.m. at the Whitmouth Hall in Whitemouth.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mom’s name to Whitemouth Redeemer Lutheran Church or CancerCare Manitoba.

To Jeannie Noel’s Family,
I will never forget Jeannie’s smile, her appearance because she was a true “Lady” in every sense of the word, her hospitality when Terry invited me to stay at her home and her professionalism in the store. She always went out of her way to make certain that everyone left happy with his or her purchases. Just a few years ago, I tossed out my very old Adidas that I bought from Jeannie in the store. They were well used and I kept them because my Dad was quite distressed about how expensive they were then. He would shudder at what my Sons’ now pay for running shoes.
The most vivid memory I have of Jeannie is when she would ask me a question she would look directly at me and she would listen intently to my response. She asked because she cared and she listened because she cared and that meant so much to me. Jeannie was a very genuine and sincere person.
Jeannie has been and will always be one of my best memories of Whitemouth. You have lost someone so special in your lives and Whitemouth has lost an outstanding citizen.
I know from my own experience that the memories and expressions of sympathy that everyone will share with you will bring you comfort and peace in the days that lie ahead. Please cherish and treasure your memories.
From the heart,
Rod & Margit MacCharles (nee Kunz)
