Carol was a friend that I held dear to my heart. When I first met Carol I was in awe of her right from the start. She was someone not to mess with. She was very smart, the lady did crossword puzzles in ink!! When we moved to Whitemouth I didn’t know how to drive and Carol drove me everywhere. She encouraged me to get my driver’s license.
We both loved funny movies and would watch them together, laughing so hard that our kids must have thought we were crazy. ‘Mrs. Brown’s Boys’ was a favorite of ours.
I am going to miss our talks. We could talk about anything. Who am I going to call to help me spell words? Carol’s knowledge was endless. Ask her about any bird or plant and if she didn’t have the answer there was a book close by with the answer. She loved flowers and plants, she could keep a poinsettia growing all year.
Carol was hard working, when you worked with her she expected the same from you. She always said do your job and do it well.
She was a great cook and her baked goods were so delicious.
Carol was always reading some book, magazine or paper and had a mind like a steel trap.
I will miss her dearly. She was more than a friend to me, she was like a big sister. Carol loved her family, her children and her grandchildren most of all. She had a great heart filled with love. We lost a treasure when we lost Carol. I will never forget you. Goodbye my sweet friend, I will think of you often.

My deepest sympathy in the loss of your Mother. I enjoyed working with Carol for many years. Under her sometimes gruff exterior she had a heart of gold. I will miss her.
