My condolences to the Horch family.
Reading this brought back fond memories of summers at Grand Beach. I remember staying in the old bunk house in back with the boys. Yvonne cooking up the fish for breakfast that Gary and I had caught the day before.

Sending my love to Uncle Wally and all my cousins and families. She was a very talented seamstress, my wedding dress is proof of that fact! Butter tarts were always one of my favourites, I think I finally have that recipe perfected! Rest In Peace Aunty Yvonne!
Marion Cox (sister to Yvonne) also sends her love!

We are sad to hear about the loss of our neighbor, friend and mother to a great family. Mrs. Horch had an impact on many of us growing up in the Fort Garry area. A memory of mine would be of her in attendance at our hockey game at Century arena when Ron and I were in our mid-teens. She had come right from work at the bank and cheered us on, however, at the end of the game a bench-clearing brawl broke out. She was not happy with this and took it upon herself to break things up. Out of the corner of my eye, comes Mrs. Horch over the boards with her fancy work shoes and her purse just a swinging to separate everyone. As she always did, Mrs. Horch got control of things and restored order.
Mr. Horch, Gary, Ken, Ron, Jeff, Karen, Donna and families; your mom will be a wonderful memory for those of her generation and ours. Many will miss her and we want you to know that your loss is shared deeply with our family.
