My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
I’m sure the family knows this, but Bill adored each of you. We talked a lot. There was never a day that went by that Bill didn’t have something to say about you. He was so proud and modest at the same time. He loved you.
I’ll really miss Bill, but my consolation is that I got to meet him in the first place. We laughed alot. I consider myself fortunate to be able to call Bill my friend.
Bill was a great man on so many levels.

Dear Debbie,

I was just given the news of Bill’s death through our Montreal office. To say I was shocked would not do justice to the surprise and sadness I felt at hearing the news. Bill and I worked together for many years in Ottawa. Through that time I came to know a deeply passionate man who adored his family and loved his work. It didn’t always show through that exterior but he was a big softy with a heart for the underdog. May God strengthen you, Adam and Chelsey, I pray that he surround you with angels to comfort and protect you. May He show compassion to you and hold you up in your time of grief. Bill will be greatly missed all across this country by those that had the pleasure of serving with him.

I was fortunate to have had Bill as my Boss at his last posting with the RCMP. Bill was on his way to retirement but he took the time to teach me the skills I needed to work on my own. Even after he was retired I was able to call him for advice or assistance. My Wife and I would like you to know that you are in our thoughts during this difficult time.

I’m so sorry to hear about Bill. I had the privilege of working with him in Ottawa. Please accept my condolences.

I was fortunate to have become acquainted with Bill on my several trips out to CNL Whiteshell in 2013-2014. He was a wonderful team member, always willing to help at a moment’s notice. Bill was also a most excellent mentor to anyone wanting to learn. He greatly enjoyed sharing your recent vacation experiences and it was obvious even through those short chats how much he loved you. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him; a remarkable man. My heart goes out to you and the rest of the family.

Belated condolences to the family of William Cunliffe; I must apologise for the inordinate delay but I have only just learned of his untimely passing.

I knew Bill many years ago having met when he was visiting Bisley with the RCAC shooting team, and later stayed with his family when I visited Canada the following year. We lost touch when he joined the RCMP and I joined the British Army; but I have fond memories of the time we spent together.

Bill was a good guy, and I am glad to hear he had a good life, a wife and a family. Requiescat in pace.

Hi Debbie. This is the time of year to reminisce. I think of Bill often, with all the good times we spent together looking after each other in our second posting. I also think of you and your family. It all brings back so many smiles. Bill’s eyes would always light up when he spoke if you. You’ll always be part of the R.C.M.P. “family.”
