1960 ~ 2014
It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of our son and brother, Wayne Lucko on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at his home. He was 53 years old.
He leaves to mourn his passing his parents Mike and Anne, his siblings Connie (Ken) Magura of Fargo, ND, Brenda (Stuart) Topley of Fargo, ND and Sharon (Mark) Jones of Winnipeg, MB. He will also be remembered by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Wayne devoted his career to working side by side with his father in the family business. He also showed his caring nature as he always managed to make time to visit his mother on a regular basis. His visits always concluded with an “I love you mom”. In his spare time, Wayne enjoyed the wild critters that visited his yard, often rescuing abandoned baby critters to ensure their survival.
A special thank you to the Oakbank RCMP and Paramedics who attended for their care and compassion. Wayne’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Gerry Denisuik, his co-worker and friend, and his wife Irma for their friendship over the years.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour with interment to follow in the St. Mary Parish Cemetery.

I still sit here in the month of January thinking of you and your family. We had 30 years of friendship that I wouldn’t change for anything in the world except to have u back right now
Every couple of weeks I still go to pick up the phone to call and talk to you. I still have your phone numbers in my phone. Just can’t seem to delete them. I miss u terribly. I miss our hours of talking your smirk and your laugh. I just miss my best friend.
I think of when we planted all those damn christmas trees and then potatoes The long drives we had in the cultivated field The times we went to Johns and Dusty the dog. When Home Hardware was going to open. I remember the day you took possession of your property. You couldn’t wait to show it to me. You were so proud. So many good times long times and hard times But through everything we still remained best of friends
I know this is something you will never read but I know you are still there for me Just in a different way. What I wouldn’t give to have just one more hug from you
Boy I miss you
The only thing that keeps me going is knowing that finally you can breath
Take care my friend and I will see one day and we can be best of friends once again
And to Mike Anne and sisters my deepest sympathies were with you in June and continue to be with you
Adrienne
