August 11, 1954 – December 20, 2020
It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of Wayne Kulczycki, as per his wishes at his home, surrounded by family on Sunday morning, December 20, 2020.
Predeceased by his parents Annie and Sam, two brothers Raymond and Gordon, father-in-law and a cherished friend Harvey Bartley.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Bev of 46 years, two amazing daughters, Lisa Kulczycki and Leah Doornbos (Mark). Papa cherished his memories of his grandchildren Noah and Sierra Doornbos, he was always so proud of every achievement they had and will accomplish in their life time.
He is survived by his sister Florence Kupiak (Dennis), Brother Brian (Carol), Sister-in-laws Sharron Kulczycki (Raymond), Val Kulczycki (Gordon), mother-in-law Claire Bartley, Sister-in-laws Linda Tyndall (George), Judy Bartley, Sheila Kerr (Don), Brother-in-laws Jeff Bartley, Gerald Bartley (Kanda) and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, also little Skylar who always made him laugh from the snap chats send by her mother.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for the amazing support from family and friends that was offered throughout his short struggle with Pancreatic Cancer. A thank you to Dr. Jaimie Law for her compassion and dedication throughout his battle, to the Whitemouth Paramedics, Falcon Lake Paramedics for standing by and Lac du Bonnet RCMP who responded that tragic morning.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be scattered at a later date. As per Wayne’s wishes and due to covid there will be no funeral service. A celebration of his life will be planned at a later date.
His loving nature and memories will be his family’s eternal light.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.

The news of Wayne’s diagnosis and passing really took the definition of shock to a whole new level. Wayne had a way of welcoming everyone with open arms and without judgement. It was a trait that few people ever have.
We enjoyed sharing stories and even the odd pop. They were always accompanies by Wayne’s laugh and million dollar smile.
Though he was taken from us much too soon. I now count my blessings to have had the opportunity to know and enjoy a great friendship with Wayne.
Rest In Peace dear friend.

Dear Bev, Lisa, Leah and families. It’s unimaginable to think Wayne is not with you Bev and your family. It was just a short while ago that we spoke on the phone and Wayne was excited about going deer hunting. As you know Wayne and I grew up a mile apart, went through school until grade twelve and were best friends. We kept in touch throughout the years and had many visits, drinks and laughs with our two families. His smile, humour, generously will be forever in our hearts. Rest In Peace Wayne and have one for us. Soon we will be able to express our love and cherish Wayne’s memories in person. Love from us

Dear Bev, Lisa , Leah, and Families. It is unimaginable that Wayne is not with you Bev and your family. We know he will be so missed, and your hearts are broken . Wayne’s laugh, broad smile, and humour will always be remembered. Just a few weeks ago Wayne called me and we had a great conversation. He was excited about deer hunting and grooming Sno Man trails. Wayne and I grew up together one mile apart, attended school, fished, hunted, played river hockey and had the occasional beer. We were best friends and our families enjoyed many visits, and laughs through the years. We will cherish those times and keep Wayne in our hearts.

To our beloved Bev, Lisa, Leah, Mark, Noah and Sierra- we are all still in disbelief and not being with you physically, it has not sunk in fully! We are thankful that Wayne is no longer suffering. R.I.P. It has been Bev and Wayne for 46 years for most of us on our journey together! Wayne will be missed but not forgotten! Sincerest condolences to Bev and family. Although I had not seen Wayne since the early seventies, many schoolmates have crossed my mind as I browse through my yearbooks wondering how they all are doing. Reading the tributes from family & friends of Wayne & Bev’s tells of a life full of love and lasting friendships. RIP Wayne.

I’m so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing, Leah. While it is so very hard to watch a parent suffer, it is also painfully hard to let go of them. Your family will be in my prayers.
