1934-2018
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Vivian Weger. Vivian peacefully passed away on February 12 at 6:00 a.m. She was predeceased by her sons Robert and Richard Weger and husband Ed Weger. She is survived by son Ed Weger of Vancouver, daughters Debbie (Benny) Mueller, Pat (Clint) Gustafson, Rose (Al) Woods, and son Jim (Lori) Weger and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mom was born in Engleheart, Ontario on August 29, 1934. She met Dad there and married and had 7 children. They lived in Ontario for many years, then moved to Manitoba and settled in Tyndall where they lived until their failing health forced them to move to Beausejour.
Mom worked for many years as a health care aide in Selkirk and Beausejour until her health forced her to retire. After retirement she volunteered at East Gate Lodge and sat on many boards within the region for a lot of years.
Mom loved sitting around the camp fire at the cabin, going to the casino, and doing her puzzles. She loved road trips and her and Dad would always just get up and go, wherever the road took them. She loved when all the family was together.
Mom was a strong person and spoke her mind. We will all cherish our memories of our trips to the States shopping. We had a ton of laughs and good times.
Cremation has taken place. The family will lay Vivian to rest with her husband in the Tyndall Columbarium at a private family gathering.
The family would like to thank Sobering’s for their compassion during this difficult time.

To all the family,
Deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother Vivian, whom I met when I started working as a health care aide at EGL many years ago in 1976. She was so much fun to work with, with the other Tyndall girls(Marj and Dorothy). She will be missed. Rest in peace Vivian.

To all the family,
My deepest condolences on the loss of your mother and grandmother, Vivian. Your mother was an amazing woman and she will truly be missed. A mother is with us always, first in her lifetime, then forever in our memory.

Very sorry for your loss. I will miss our phone calls when she would reminisce about all the great times had with my parents. Rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to the Weger family. I have wonderful memories of auntie Viv & uncle Able bringing the whole family to Ontario, all of us cousins running crazy & hanging out in the camper on the aunt Glenda & uncle Ang’s driveway. Rest in Peace Auntie Viv. <3

She was a great person. My mom and Vivian were best friends. She was there for us when my mom was very sick and don’t know what we would have done without her. She was a treasure. Loved her

So very sad to hear of Vivian’s passing. She was such a great lady! So many good memories. I know that Vivian and my Mom (Marlene) are now together and can once again resume their “coffee times”
She will be missed!

To all the family,
Many good memories of your Mom when you lived in River Hills! I remember how Patty and Rose, my sisters Marilyn and Audrey and I would walk through the grain fields (the short cut to each others houses) to meet up to play and your Mom always had cookies or was in the middle baking them when we would come to your house! Very friendly and smiling and happy lady!
Last September we (my Mom and I and your Mom) happen to chance to meet outside Eastgate Lodge on a beautiful warm day, we had a great time visiting and catching up…our Mom’s were reminiscing of people and places and years gone by…so glad we had this chance!
Our Deepest Sympathy!
Love to you all!
