Offer Condolence for the family of Verna Gladwyn Eastcott (nee Perry)
I will miss her letters and kindness. Our Condolences to the family from my family.
The Dawsons
Mrs. Eastcott went to school with my dad, and taught my brother and I in Grade 4. I was very fond of her in school. I’m so sorry for your loss.
Sorry to hear about your sad loss❤️
Our deepest sympathy Bill, Carla & Family on the loss of Verna. As long time residents of Pine Falls, we have many fond memories of Verna as a valued community member, Teacher and Cedar St. neighbour.
My condolences to the family from one long time Pine Falls family to another. Verna (or Mrs. Eastcott as I knew her!) taught me grade four in Pine Falls School in the 70s.
At age 54 now, my memories were of a strict but great teacher!
Thinking of you all – Kurt Rosentreter
We are very sorry to hear about Verna’s passing Please accept our sincere. Condolences. Evelyn & John Bulmer
Our deepest sympathy to you Bill on the loss of your dear wife Verna. We always enjoyed talking with her either at Club 50 or on the street on her way somewhere! Take care of yourself.

My deepest sympathy, Bill, upon the loss of Verna, as I will always remember our little chats at the Old time Dances and Club 50 and seeing the two of you on your 3-wheel bicycles . My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Carla, we send you our condolences on the loss of your mother. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
We lived in Pine Falls for 5 years, from 1976 to 1981. Our daughter Karen had Verna for a teacher in grade 4 and I vividly remember Karen complaining about Mrs. Eastcott being “so strict” and “not smiling very much”.
However, as the years went by and Karen finished her education here in BC, she was quick to tell everyone that her favourite teacher of all time was Mrs. Eastcott in Pine Falls. Karen sent Verna her high school grad picture, her nursing grad picture, her wedding picture, and photos of the two children she had.
Mike and I wish that more teachers were like Verna. Firm but kind, with her students’ best interests at heart always.
Our condolences to Verna’s family. She was so good at what she did. Sincerely,
Dora Kolody
