1931 ~ 2014
After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s, Verna passed away at Eastgate Lodge in Beausejour, Manitoba.
Verna was predeceased by her loving husband James (Jim), Mother, Father and siblings. She leaves to mourn her passing her sons, Fred (Kathy), Stephen (Gisele) and Todd (Linda) and grandchildren Stacey (Kevin), Dereck (Sylvia), Erin (Adam), and Ali (Tyler).
Throughout her years Verna worked many jobs touching the lives of those she met along her journey. The family would like to thank the staff at East Gate Lodge for the wonderful care and compassion they gave to our dear mom. We appreciate their dedication, patience and encouragement.
A memorial service will be held at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, Manitoba on Thursday May 15, 2014 at 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Verna may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
