Trefflé passed away suddenly on Monday, December 16, 2019 at the age of 88.
He leaves to mourn his daughter Andrea; his stepdaughter Vicki (Ron Runzer); his grandchildren, Wendy (William), Tracey (Wade), Candace and Darlene; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lucille and Lucie, Margaret, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Bella; his brothers, Donat, Maurice, Oril and Romeo; his sister Lisa; stepdaughter Sharon and son-in-law Finley Michaud; and grandson Finley Dale Michaud.
Trefflé married Isabella Courchene (née Robson) on December 12, 1964. He worked much of his life for Abitibi-Price, cutting wood. He then bought a small farm and raised cattle until he retired at the age of 70. He was a homebody who enjoyed his home and garden; in his younger years, dad enjoyed fishing, hunting and he spent many years picking wild rice.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Georges Parish, in St. Georges, MB on Saturday, December 21, 2019. Prayers at 10:30 followed by mass at 11:00 am.
Cremation has taken place; interment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
