1936 ~ 2012
On Tuesday, November 13, 2012 Dad left us to be with Mom. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
He will be sadly missed by his daughters Kathy (Willy), Colleen (Tim), Darlene (Jason), grandchildren Randy, Jeff, Matthew & Devon, brothers Paul (Rose), Harry (Marlene), Barry (Evelyn) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Grace, parents John and Mary, and sister Nellie.
Dad was born in Elma, MB on August 9, 1936. He married Mom on October 15, 1960. They lived in Falcon Lake, MB owning and operating the Shell Station. In 1978, they moved to Elma, MB where they owned and operated T & T Strawberry Farm for many years. Dad worked for Kurian Forest Products in the winter. He loved fishing, hunting and being out on the farm.
Thank-you to the Whitemouth Personal Care Home. We would also like to thank the Pinawa Hospital nurses and staff for their care and compassion. A very special thank-you to Dr. Tawfik for all she did for Dad.
Services was held at Sobering Funeral Chapel on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. Interment followed at the Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery in Elma, MB. Lunch followed at the Elma Community Centre.
