On Saturday, July 17, 2010, Susie passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Susie will be greatly missed by all who knew her and were loved by her.
Susie is survived by her sons Ray (Flora) and Ron (Elisabeth) and daughter Susan (Ben), her grandchildren Nancy-Ann, Heidi, Nathan, Billy, Cammie, Steven, Jessica and David. She is also survived by her brothers, sisters, brothers in-law and sisters in-law, Pete, Neil (Kay), Tina, Mary (Ed), Henry (Evelyn), Sara, Agnes, Dave (Louise) and Eva and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Herman W., son Ralph and brothers Jacob, Diedrich and Abe.
She loved her Lord and Savior above all else. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She had a passion for music and loved serving in the church.
Heartfelt thanks to Dr. W. Kaethler and the staff at Bethesda Place for all the care given to her and the support given to the family in her final days. Special appreciation to Chaplain Larry Hirst for the spiritual care he provided to both Susie and her family.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, July 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 465 Henry Street, Steinbach, MB.
