Steve passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the age of 99. He was born in the R.M. of Springfield.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Frances of 64 years, his son Dennis and step-daughter Shirley. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Steve spent most of his life on his farm in Eastdale, Manitoba where he and Frances lived within a mile of their original homesteads.
A funeral service will be held at Sobering Funeral Chapel on Saturday, September 20 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing 1 hour prior. Interment will take place at Eastdale Cemetery.

My deepest sympathy to Dennis on the loss of your Dad and my last uncle. I totally understand the sacrifice you made by taking on the responsibility of looking after your Dad until his last breath. I just need to say thank you for making his long life the best that can be.
