1960 ~ 2015
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Sherry. Sherry, daughter of George and Violet Holowinski, was born in Beausejour Hospital.
Sherry is survived by her precious children Troy, Carena (Peter), Kyle (Kim), and her dearly loved grandchildren, Sierra and Charles, Caspian and Angell. Sherry is also survived by her loving mother Violet (Larry), brother George (Gisele), sister Wendy (Robert). She is also survived by all her loved nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces, and special family friend and godmother Ruby. Sherry was predeceased by her loving Dad George (1990), and her beloved sister Carol and brother in-law Bob (1995).
Sherry worked at East Gate Lodge as a health aide for 20 years. She loved looking after everyone, especially her family. She loved cooking big meals at holiday times, gardening, and rock painting just to name a few things.
Sherry was dearly loved, will be sorely missed and always remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E in Beausejour Manitoba. Seeing that Sherry loved color please feel free to wear something bright and colorful.
In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully appreciated in Sherry’s memory to a charity of your choice.
“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.”

Such terribly sad news! I am so sorry to hear this. Although we have lost touch over the years I will always remember her happy, smiling and laughing. Due to other commitments we will not be able to attend the Service, but are sending out our deepest condolences to all the family.

So sorry for your loss. Words can not begin to express my sorrow. I will no longer be able to tease you about your abundance of shoes in your locker or give you my abundance of vegetables from my garden. What will we do?? 🙁 🙁
Mark and Joan Chalaturnyk (nee Relf)
We were so sorry to hear of Sherrys passing. Although we hadn’t seen each other for quite a few years, I will always remember our childhood summer vacations, when I would come and stay for a few weeks with Auntie Violet and Uncle George. Her unique laugh and smile is what I will remember the most about her. Great Memories.

I had the pleasure of working along side of Sherry for many years and my heart aches for those she left behind. She had a gentle soul, a beautiful chuckle and a smile that could cure a heartache. She will be missed by so many young and old. My thoughts and prayers.

I’m sad for the memories we will never have but so grateful for the many we shared. Your life was taken too soon and I can’t imagine a day passing that I don’t miss you. Even though we didn’t see each other often we’d talk for hours on the phone, and when we did get together well, we had a lot of fun. Thank you for being a caring, selfless, beautiful friend. You were my “bff” and always had my back. Keeping Violet, your children and all the family close to my heart.
