Roy Noble

1927 ~ 2022

Peacefully on January 19, 2022 at Ironwood Gardens in Pinawa, Roy Noble passed away, he was 94 years old.  Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Gayle (Michael) Rutherford and his son Gary Noble.  He will also be lovingly remembered by his seven grandchildren; Jason (Kelly), Michael (Joni), Jaclyn, Nicole, Grant (Carrie), Melissa, Ryan (Sharon) and his two wonderful great-grandchildren Noah and Amy.  He is survived by his brother Vernon (Gail) Noble.  Roy was predeceased by his loving wife Happy, his parents Reuben and Grace Noble and his siblings Elmer Noble, Viola Hartley, Ethel Pahl and Gordon Noble.

Roy was born on July 25, 1927 on a homestead near Eastend, Saskatchewan.  The family moved to Quebec in 1928, returning to the Moose Jaw area in 1930 where Roy grew up.  One of Roy’s first jobs was delivering bread using a horse drawn wagon.  He met the love of his life Happy in Moose Jaw and they were married on September 17, 1949.  They bought the Noble family farm in the early 1950’s and started raising a family.  In the early 1960’s they left the farm when Roy took a job with Co-op Implements. This took the family to Lloydminster and then to Manitoba.  They spent a few years in Winnipeg before moving to a hobby farm near Garson.  In 1988 they retired to Pinawa.

Roy and Happy enjoyed travelling and took many trips across Canada, the US. and Europe.  They also travelled to many music festivals.  For fifteen years they enjoyed the winters in Texas.

Roy loved getting together with family and friends and having good conversations with them.  He always enjoyed when Gary brought out his guitar and played.

Very sorry to hear of Roy’s passing. My son Dustin used to shovel and cut grass for Roy and Happy and remembers them fondly. Wishing peace to the family.

Extending my sympathy to all of Roy’s family. We enjoyed having Roy as our neighbour at Ironwood. Both Roy and Gordon had a lot in common and enjoyed their music. Wishing you comfort and strength.
