Roy was a great person who could take a moment to tell a story or share a joke with. His strong work ethic showed through be it with the snowmobile club or on the farm. He had a presence all to his own!
He was a great companion on the snowmobile trails and would stop by when moving by on the road between the farms (on Brookfield Road).
When I was told of his passing I fell sad, (knowing I’ll never get another boisterous laugh from him again).
Take Care Ol’Roy-Boy!
My sincere condolences to his family.

What a shock to hear of Roy’s passing. We had a great conversation at the Solo not that long
ago about our grandsons and their hockey. Roy and I were born on Feb. 6th and I had called
him to wish him a Happy Birthday, did not know that would be my last birthday call to him.
We are so thinking of all of you.

Knowing Roy has always been a opportunity to have a laugh. Our joke was, when meeting at the Bay/Solo, I was there to pick up the goods off the bottom shelf and he would retrieve product from the top shelves. It didn’t happen often, but it was fun when it did. Thanks Roy; just saying your name brings a smile to my face.
Our deepest sympathies to Joan and family. You will be in our thoughts & prayers during this difficult time.

Dear Joan, Kevin and Brenda,
Please accept our deepest sympathy on the passing of a very special person, your husband and father, Roy. We will cherish fond memories of Roy as a good neighbour and friend during the time Les and his family lived in Pinawa and again in 1992 when I joined Les to live in Pinawa. We were very happy to reconnect with you in September of 2020 on our short visit to Pinawa. We are happy Andrea and Jennifer were able to attend the funeral. They were so pleased to see you and have a visit and reacquaint themselves with places and people from their childhood and teen years. It meant a lot to us that they were able to represent the Wardle family. This message is long overdue, but certainly heartfelt. We wish you all the best as you navigate this difficult time.
Sincerely, Mary and Les Wardle
