It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother, grandmother (baba), great grandmother at the age of 88 at her home (where she always wanted to be).
She will be sadly missed by her husband Ray of 63 years; children Shelley, Sherry (Dallen), Bonnie (Gord), April (Sean); 12 grandchildren & 18 great grandchildren.
Rose was born on December 8, 1932 and raised in Shortdale, MB. She was the youngest of 12 children and was predeceased by her parents, Paul & Wasylena (nee Tanasichuk) Yaciuk and her 11 siblings.
At the age of 19 she moved to Winnipeg and met her husband Ray. In 1958 they married in Beausejour and went on to raise their 4 children moving between Ontario & Beausejour and settling in Seven Sisters Falls where they started their own business, Whiteshell Building Supplies. After 31 years, they sold and retired to Beausejour.
She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, bingo, perogy making and skunking Dad at crib. Top priority was her family. Always enjoying any and all that came to visit ensuring they always had something to eat. She was forever in the kitchen making something for us.
Mom is now pain free and at peace. Love you forever!
Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. A private graveside burial will take place at a later date.
