1950 ~ 2017
It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend Bob Fosty at the age of 66 in Kelowna, BC. He was born in Winnipeg.
He was predeceased by his parents Anne and Dan Fosty and brother Richard.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cindy, his daughter Colleen (Mark), son Joey (Keri) and grandchildren Alec, Matthew and Justin. He is also survived by his siblings Gloria (Rene), Mildred (Wilf), Steven (Lynn) and sister in-law Dianna Fosty.
Bob grew up in the Beausejour area. An avid entrepreneur at heart, he owned and operated Larry’s Chip Stand, an arcade and printshop. Bob and Cindy moved to British Columbia in 1991 and made frequent visits back to Beausejour to visit family and friends.
Many thanks to the staff at the Kelowna Hospice for their care and compassion as Bob’s 10-year struggle with cancer came to an end.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Sunday, March 12 at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a Hospice Care of your choice.

Dearest Cindy, My Dear Cousins, and Your Respective Families:
We wish to express our sincerest sympathy at the untimely, and premature passing of “Dearest Bob”. Each of you are experiencing a very personal loss and with that are experiencing your personal grief; we pray that you have strength to guide all of you through this very difficult time.
As first cousins, with an age difference of eleven months, Bob and I had a special bound during our childhood. Bob had a wonderful sense of humor, loved everyone and everything, and a great love of always having a good time. He maintained his great personality and positivity even through the ten years he battled cancer. For all of these and for his tremendous strength, he will be remembered, always loved, and remain in my memory forever. May you Rest in Peace, Bob.
With our Most Heartfelt Sympathy and God’s Blessings,
Cousins Valerie and Tony; and Landin and Marcia
