With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband, father, pepere, brother, uncle and friend on June 3, 2016 at the very young age of 91.
Left to grieve their loss and celebrate his memory are his loving wife Mae (Kosman), children Denis (Deb), Louise (Ted), David (Carm), grandchildren Chantal (Conley), Curtis (Angie), and Justin (Shasta), great grandchildren Jayden, Tucker, Raquelle, Sydney, Robbert, Khyan and Brooke, also left to mourn are brothers Edgar, Roland, Marcel and sisters Donalda and Claudette.
Born in St. Adolphe on March 15, 1925 to Amedee and Rose-Anna (Vermette) Lagasse. He was born in the middle of a very large family of 15 siblings. Richard led a full and productive life settling his family in Powerview, MB. He was a very well-liked and respected member of this community and would always greet you with that charming smile and a firm handshake. Retirement never slowed him down as he was always there to help his kids in their respective businesses. If you ever asked him “Richard when are you going to settle down?” he would always say “in my old days”, sadly those never came.
A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held on Thursday, June 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Parish, Powerview, MB with Rosary at 12:30 p.m. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
