July 3, 1926 ~ June 20, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and special Aunty, Pauline, on June 20th at her home in Beausejour.
Mom will be sadly missed by her children, Terry, Cheryl (Allen) and Linda (Stu); daughter-in-law Sylvia; grandchildren Scott, Steven (Mary Beth), Sabrina and Brittany; great-grandchildren Audrey, Aurora and Baxter; many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill), son Bill, daughter-in-law Cindy, siblings, Mary, Paul, Anne (Burek), Walter, Joe and Ed and parents, Adam and Ahafia.
Mom was raised in Hazelridge where her family owned and operated the local grocery store. After attending business college and working in Winnipeg, she and her husband Bill moved to Beausejour in 1954 to raise their family.
Mom’s passion for caring started with her family and friends who were always greeted with a friendly welcome at the door and plenty of delicious food on the table. She was an avid fisherman, loved to travel, enjoyed gardening and was well known for her fantastic cooking.
Her contagious smile and caring spirit drew her to serve as a health care aide for the elderly. Her life was one of service to her family, friends and her community. She dedicated many hours of service to various charity organizations including 35 years coordinating Meals-on-Wheels, the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Beautifying Beausejour as well as many local organizations and her church.
Special thanks to the caring staff at Beausejour Hospital and East Gate Lodge for their compassion and care.
Viewing and prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour, MB. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, with viewing one hour prior, also at the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.

What a wonderfully kind and understanding person Aunt Pauline was. Though we didn’t have much contact, she always kept in touch with cards and writing in which her warmth shone through and which was so appreciated. May your many cherished memories keep her shining through for all of you.

So very sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I remember her growing up on Turner street. She was always such a friendly and smiling mom. She always stopped to talk to the kids and parents on the street. She was so friendly. She fixed my scraped knee when I fell off my bike. Best band aide ……juice and cookies.
May your memories help you to heal during this difficult time.
