Peacefully surrounded by family, Parnell Clarence Pederson passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the age of 85. Parnell was born and raised in Menisino, MB, the son of Peter and Inga.
Parnell is survived by his wife Marion of 30 years, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is lovingly remembered by his “children” George, Randy, Colette, Debbie and their families. He was proud “grandfather” of 7 and “great grandfather” of 5. He loved spending time with each and every one of them.
He had a love for music, especially fiddle music. Some of his favorite memories were family gatherings and sibling jam sessions. He loved any invitation to dance. He was often the first one on the dance floor and the last to leave. He took pride in smooth dance feet!
Parnell and Marion had a love for travel. They shared many excursions together over the years.
As per Parnell’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A “Good-Bye Party” will be held on Friday, December 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour. Parnell’s wish is that you not cry for him, but to rejoice in his life and celebrate. Wear your ball cap, bring your love for music as you come to say goodbye.
In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations may be made to the Beausejour Hospital TV Fund or a charity of one’s choice.

Our sympathy to the family. We’ll always remember Parnell having that nice (almost mischievous) looking smile on his face. He was a wonderful man, and will certainly be missed by anyone who had the opportunity to know him.

A great Brother-in-law. He always had a hug for me. We’ll miss him for sure. He got rid of a bee hive in my BBQ for which I am grateful for. My knight in shining armor. So long Parnell, we’ll see you on the other side. Hugs Judith
