1933 ~ 2023

On Friday, April 7, 2023, at Sunnywood Manor in Pine Falls, MB with family by his side, dad left us to be with his loving wife Kay and son JB.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children Susie, Barry (Kim), Kelly, Kim (Brian), Sheldon (Shelley), Lynn (Brent) Michelle, and Pam;  16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; sister Bernice; brother Joe(Shelley); and in-laws Denise,  Lorne (Eva), Irene & Pam.

Dad was born February 4, 1933 in South Junction, MB. He married the love of his life Kay on December 1, 1956.  He raised 8 children in the house he built. He worked in the Papermill 40 years.  He loved making picnic tables & chairs.  Off season, he enjoyed going to the arena to watch hockey, but mostly loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He will be missed but will live on in our cherished memories.

Thank you to all the staff at Sunnywood Manor for their great care of Dad.  He was loved by all.

Memorial Mass will be held at Notre Dame Du Laus Roman Catholic Church on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 2:00pm, in Powerview-Pine Falls, Manitoba. Memorial donations can be made to Sunnywood Manor Residential Council.

My sincere condolences go out to the Tardiff family, with the passing of Ovide. He worked with my dad, Bill for many years, and he was well respected by all in the community. Ovide always had a ready smile and laugh, and I never heard him say anything bad about anyone.
He will be missed by all.
Sincerely,
Kim Sharpe

What a wonderful person Uncle Ovide was and will continue to be in our memories of him. A talented man in many ways Ovide will be remembered as a loving-caring person who valued family above all. As a man of faith, rest in peace Ovide.

Ovide’s Grandson and my Son played AAA U-18 Hockey together. Ovide and I put 50,000km on my Van that winter. I would call in the afternoon and he or Suzie would say he’ll be ready. And he was every time.
I have lots of great Memories of that winter that I will cherish till I see you again.
Ovide’s comment after every game was. Boy those kids are fast and i would say like Rocket Richard and he would say Faster.
RIP my friend, you deserve it.

Uncle Ovide was a loving husband to Aunty Kaye. I have many fond memories of them living next door to Granny & Pepere Tardiff growing up. I did babysitting & Uncle Ovide was a happy Dad changing diapers making lunches to help Aunty Kaye whenever he had time off from work .
Went many times with the family to visit Aunty Kaye’s sister Irene Joseph at Vic Beach remember running down the Cliffs there. Special childhood memories with a caring Uncle always happy & loving to everyone in the family on all our family celebrations!!
RIP Uncle Ovide now reunited with your beautiful wife Aunty Kaye & son JB. My deepest sympathy to all the Tardiff family at this difficult time !! Cherished memories of a loving Dad &,Grandpa. Another Heavenly Angel to cherish !!
