1927 ~ 2013
Noella passed away peacefully at the age of 85 at the Whitemouth Personal Care Home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 6, 2013.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years Raymond David, her brothers Paul, Armand, Joe, and Albert and her sisters Lorraine and Marie.
She is survived by her children, sons Sylvio (Linda) of Dartmouth, NS, Louis (Sandra) of Beausejour, and Lionel of Winnipeg, MB, daughters Raymonde (Mike) Maher of Halifax, NS, Leona (Kim) Kettles of Lac du Bonnet, MB, Alice (Ben) Bradshaw of St. John, NB and Elaine of Winnipeg, MB. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Jennifer, Dennis, Anthony, Sara, Kyle, Melissa, Ashley, Jennifer, Meghan, Jason, Adam, Jordan, Christopher, Brittany, Brendan and Jesse as well as several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Noella is also survived by her two sisters Agnes and Alice.
After Ray passed away she moved into Bona Vista and spent 11 happy years there. Her sister Agnes lived in the apartment next to her and they spent many hours together. Agnes and Noella shared a special bond. From Bona Vista they shared the same hospital room in Pinawa Hospital and were fortunate enough to both be transferred to the Whitemouth Care Home where they became known as “the sisters”! You never saw one without the other. The family wants Aunty Agnes to know how much her love and care means to us…she has a special place in our hearts.
Noella loved her family unconditionally. She was a loving wife, a caring mother, a proud grandmother and great grandmother. She was also an active member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Thank you to all the staff of the Whitemouth Care Home. Each and every one of you are special and made mom’s new home comfortable for her. You go above and beyond.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass was celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 11 at Notre Dame du Lac Roman Catholic Church, Lac du Bonnet, MB with interment following in the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery. Prayers were said at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10 also at the church.
Donations may be made to the Whitemouth Personal Care Home, Recreation Department or to a charity of your choice.
