With a short battle with cancer, we are heartbroken to announce the passing of Murray Zarecki at the age of 65 years old. He was predeceased by his mother(Ollie), father (Joe) sister (Roseanne), brother (Terry), and nephew (Brett). He leaves behind his wife of 44 years Gail, son Evan (Cole), daughter Aleah (Eric) and grandchildren Harlyn and Bowdin.
Murray was born and raised in Lac du Bonnet but soon made his way to the Beausejour area after meeting Gail in their teenage years. He learned the stucco trade from his father-in-law and went on to owning his own Stucco business for more than 25 years, then later “retired” into working for L & A Stucco in Winnipeg.
Murray had many hobbies throughout the years including bowling on the Beausejour Bowling league, playing baseball for the Gophers, curling, playing cribbage, an avid hunter and fisherman, and more than anything, loved being a Big Papa to his grandchildren.
Murray had a strong spirit and brought laughter and joy to everyone he met. He was always more than happy to help anyone in need. His sarcasm and sense of humour will truly be missed.
The family would like to thank the Beausejour Hospital and Cancer Care Manitoba for their exceptional care, compassion and kindness they’ve shown him and the family.
The family will be planning a celebration of life at a later date.

Our family was deeply saddened to hear of Murray’s passing. Though there are no words to help ease your pain during this very difficult time, may it bring you some comfort knowing you are in the thoughts and prayers of many who love and care for you. He will live in your heart forever.
It was a pleasure to have known you as family and you will be forever missed.

It was with great sadness that we learned of Murray’s passing.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
So sorry to hear about Murray. Always enjoyed talking to him whenever he would drop in to see Ronnie and I for coffee. Murray and Ronnie did a lot of stucco jobs together through the years. They would have a lot of laughs. Now they both can tell all the jokes they want. Deepest condolences to you all.

memory of him is fishing off our dock in the summer months. Our thoughts

I remember back those thirty plus years ago and all the fun we had a socials, skidoing, dancing, Richard’s, Joe and Ollie’s, with Roger and Roseanne. Murray loved to dance, loved to laugh.

Gail, Aleah and Evan and their families. So sad to hear of Murray’s passing. I have many fond memories of the times Jillian spent in your home and the wonderful stories she told of her time with Murray. My heart goes out to all of you. He will be missed by many.
