October 18, 1932 – March 13, 2023
On Monday March 13, 2023, Michael Francizk Wazny of Lac Du Bonnet, Manitoba passed away at the age of 90 years.
Michael is survived by his daughter: Michele (Douglas); grandchildren: Sarah (Jared), Andrea (Robert), Vanessa (Porter), and Rebecca; and great grandchildren: Cooper, Levi, Elle, and Alfie. Michael was predeceased by his parents: Francizk and Anna; and siblings: Bertha, Mary, and Walter.
Mike lived in Winnipeg and worked remotely for many years in construction across the province including Lynn Lake, Grand Rapids, Thompson, and the Winnipeg flood way. In 1971, he moved back to Lac du Bonnet built a home and started farming.
The family would like to thank the Pinawa Hospital and the home health care aides which enabled Dad to live independently in his own home. We would like to also thank Danny and Michelle Wazny for their support and care of Mike.
A grave side ceremony will be held May 13, 2023, at the Lac Du Bonnet cemetery.

Dear Michele and all the family:
Mike was a special man. He had such a warm engaging smile and was always ready and happy to talk with anyone. He was such a family man too, proudly showing pictures when the opportunity arose. He always remembered his loved ones who had gone before him also, and would regularly put mementos in our local newspaper. He was thoughtful and caring.
We just want you to know that we are praying for your peace of heart. May your special memories bring you comfort. We know Mike has earned a special place in the great beyond. He was a man of integrity!
