1926-2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother, Mary Semeniuk, on June 16, 2022 in the comfort of her home.
Mom was born in Garson, Manitoba on February 2, 1926 and grew up on the family farm.
Mom met our Dad and together they raised their four daughters Pat (Rodd), Gloria (Ken), Susie (Richard) and Bev (Lorne).
Mom worked for years at Eaton’s Warehouse and instilled in us values in our lives on how to raise our families.
Mom loved when her family gathered at her house for Christmas, Easter, Birthdays, and any other occasion.
The grandchildren Denise (Josh), Alison, Trevor, Alanna (Steve), Colleen (Zac), Neil (Emilie), Tiffany (Curtis) and great-grandchildren all loved to go to Gramma Sems, as they lovingly called her. Mom would always say how much her daughters did for her, and how much they meant to her. She loved nothing more when family would come visit or stay with her. There is now a big void in our hearts, but Dad is waiting for you, so we have to let you go.
The family would like to thank Dr. Askarifar and all the Home Care Staff that took such great care of our mom.
A private family service will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Garson, Manitoba, with Rev. Fr. Sylvanus Omali officiating. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery.

Thank you for calling on Wednesday evening to sing happy birthday to me Aunty Mary. It was so nice to hear your voice even though I didn’t know it would be for the last time. I’ll cherish my godmother’s last phone call as long as I live.
Zbig wonders what he’ll do after his Polish classes at St, Michael’s now that you won’t be there to visit.
We both miss you dearly as surely your family also does. We extend our deepest condolences to the whole family upon the loss of their loving matriarch.
