July 17, 1952 – April 9, 2019
It is with deep sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Marvin Russell on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Health Sciences Centre.
Marvin will be lovingly remembered by his lifelong partner Maxine Tymchuk; his sisters, Audrey (Ken) Josling and son Eric (Shannon), Norma (Chuck) Hinds and children, Tina and Ian, Irene (Jesper) Naested and son Thomas (Maureen); great-niece Brenna, great-nephews, William, Theo and Seeton. He will also be remembered by his Aunt Vi (nee Russell) Wall, and many cousins.
In his earlier years, Marvin, with his parents Oscar and Bessie Russell, managed the Russell Funeral Home. Marvin continued this passionate and caring role for family and friends. With his quiet demeanor, insight into life, and words of wisdom, he provided guidance when we were in need.
Marvin enjoyed spending time in the outdoors with years of snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and sharing memories around a campfire of earlier years of adventures. The car racing stories were always interesting and the AMX usually won! Max and Marv enjoyed many years at their little cabin entertaining friends and family on the Brokenhead River.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, MB.
Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made to East Gate Lodge, Box 1690, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0.
