1943 ~ 2020

Marcia Clair Mickey (Nee Maclean) passed away with family by her side on Thursday May 21, 2020.  Marcia was born on the 4th of June  1943 in Beausejour, Manitoba.  She is survived by her husband Norman and five children Kim (John), Chris (Sue), Kerry (Fran), Jody and Darlene, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a predeceased grandchild.

Marcia has been devoted to her family and faith throughout her life.  She has celebrated her time here on earth through music, dancing, organ playing and singing in the choir. Marcia had many loves including writing, reading, travelling, and camping. Her garden was filled with colourful blooms every summer, the birds in her yard were always well fed. Her home was lovingly decorated with family photos.   A giving person, for many years she was an active volunteer with the Red Cross, Canadian Legion, Seniors Centre, Agricultural Society and enjoyed her time working as an EMT in Beausejour.

Welcome Me Home

God called on you in the morning with the rising of the sun.

He said “Come with me Marcia”

Your task on earth is done.

You bore your fruit,

You labored in your work,

You raised a wonderful family who loves you dearly.

Now good and faithful servant,

Your sleep and rest you’ve won.

So we will not say goodbye

Enjoy your heavenly home.

Be at Peace, Thanks be to God.

To Norman and family

We are saddened by the loss of your loved one Marcie. Marcie and my friendship began about 25 years ago at Togs and Treasures. Marcie was a lovely person to work with, she was serious, funny caring person. Marcie was a person you liked instantly, she had this lovely smile, heart of gold. Family was important to her in every way. As a volunteer board member at Togs children were her greatest concern. I have many fond memories of my dear friend Marcie. Norman and family may the Lord walk with you all, giving you strength and love.

Condolence from Debbie Micke on May 25th, 2020 12:40 pm

When I look back at my childhood I often realize how much of an impact those experiences were. One of those experiences I have found myself reflecting on throughout my life was watching Auntie Marcia cooking dinner in the BIGGEST POT I had ever seen…and I have a feeling she was using a wood burning stove. I bet she was always more than happy to cook for whoever was around. Those types of memories helped me grow into an accepting person…one that knows there’s a good side to everyone.
I’m sorry for your loss Uncle Norman and the rest of my Family.
