It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Baba, Great gramma. Lorraine will be missed by sons Rick (Sandra) and Don (Reta), brother Joe (Mary Jane), her granddaughters, Dana (Brent), Carly (Tyler), Alexandra (Adrian) and Caitlin (Troy), great grandchildren Madison, Liam and Teddy and her nieces and nephews. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Ted and infant son Joseph, brother Walter and sister-in-law Gladys.
Lorraine’s granddaughters were her great pride and joy and she was a perfect Baba, always there for them and wanting to help whenever she could while loving them unconditionally.
Lorraine stayed at home to raise her boys until they were grown and then worked with a variety of catering companies before working as a dietary aide at East Gate Personal Care Home. Her wonderful sense of humour and good nature provided many stories to share at her retirement, she was fun to be around. Lorraine was a great cook and her skills were appreciated by her family and friends, everyone was welcome to join a meal.
We wish to thank the doctors and staff of the Beausejour District Hospital and the Whitemouth Personal Care Home for all the care and support given to Lorraine during her stay.
A private family funeral service will be held in Beausejour with interment to follow in St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Cemetery in Tyndall, MB.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Beausejour District Hospital or Whitemouth Personal Care Home.

So sorry to hear of Lorraine’s passing. She was the sweetest, funniest lady and we will all miss her. May she rest in peace but tell jokes to the angels.

Aunt Lorraine made the best spaghetti and meat sauce. Once it was cooked she then fried it up and it was the most delicious meal. Her hugs meant the world to me; they took away all your worries and you felt the love. But my fondest memory of my Aunt was how she would give out a big yodel when she entered a room. It always made me smile. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.

My sincere and deepest condolences to Rick & Sandra, Don & Rita, brother Joe and Maryjane, and your entire families on the passing of your mother, Grand-mother and Great-grandmother. Her family meant everything to her! Lorraine was a woman who was one in million….such a hard-working, helpful, caring and loving person! Our friendship goes back for many decades…I will always remember the fun times we had together, both in work catering, and also in recreation time along with all of our friends! Great times…great memories that I will cherish! She has now joined her beloved Ted in Heaven! R.I.P. Lorraine….

To all of Lorraine’s loved one’s – I am thinking of you during this time of tremendous loss. I have a clear memory of lunch at Lorraine’s while on a work break in the Tyndall area . . . it was her pizza . . . I had never seen or tasted a pizza that delicious before and haven’t since . . . that would be about 40 years ago!
I remember Lorraine as a deeply warm woman with a heart of gold, a quick witted mind and arms that embraced with enduring affection. Over time may her priceless gifts and expressions of love ease your sorrow. Lucille
