January 26, 1937 – March 25, 2018
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, nana, sister and wonderful person Lillian Johnston. Surrounded by her family, they sang to her, her favourite song, You Are My Sunshine, as she passed away on March 25, 2018 at the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home.
She was predeceased by loving husband Joseph, her parents, as well as her sisters Hilda, Wanda and Elaine and brother Art.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: John (Wayne), Joanne, and Maggie (Donny), grandchildren: Kris (Danielle), Alex (Faith) and Daniel, great grandchildren: Keagen, Chastity, and Frejya and a little one on the way, Rain. She is also survived by her siblings, nieces and nephews.
Mom was born in Seven Sisters Falls, MB where she lived for most of her life. Mom loved feeding people, so her job as cook for AECL suited her well.
The family would like to thank the nurses at Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home for the care and compassion shown to our mother.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life may take place at a later date.
Offer Condolence for the family of Lillian Johnston (nee Knopf)

So sorry for the loss of your dear mother Lillian,
Maggie, Joanne and family
We always enjoyed seeing your mom, she had a great laugh and a wonderful sense of humor.
We shared many stories and laughs together at the shop.
Lil was a lady with a big heart and a true love of her family and friends. Always thinking of someone else before herself.
When someone who is truly loved passes they are never really far away. They are always in your heart. Rest easy now Lil.
Your in our thoughts.
Deepest sympathies

So sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I remember delivering water with Grandpa Lawrence and your Mom coming out with a smile on her face and treats for the water man and his helper. She was a beautiful person and now will be an angel for you in heaven, Maybe visiting with Grandpa right now.

Lil was one of the most independent ladies I ever had the pleasure to know. Always had a smile on her face and was ready with a laugh. A joy to know. Rest easy Lillian.

Sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. Auntie Lil was a sweet lady. Lots of good memories. Mom and Dad (Art & Vi Knopf) had lots of nice suppers at their house in Whitemouth with Aunt Lil and Johanne.
Dad thought the world of his sister Lil. Kind, hard working and a good soul. Rest in peace Aunty Lil and say Hi to Dad for us!

Worked with Lil for quite a few years…such a hard worker…but always a smile, a laugh and a giggle or two.
She will be missed.
