September 20, 1947 ~ February 11, 2021
Peacefully, on February 11, 2021, Leslie (Les) Carlson of Lac du Bonnet, MB, departed to join his parents, Charles and Freda Carlson and brother Eric.
Left to cherish in memory are sisters, Shirley, Eileen, Diana and Violet; brother Floyd; and extended family and friends.
A quiet, kind and generous man, Les enjoyed fishing, camping and snowmobiling. He was a staunch supporter of the Winnipeg Jets and Blue Bombers – win or lose. The Lac du Bonnet area was home for Les where he was raised, went to school and was employed for a number of years at Atomic Energy in Pinawa and later at Milner Ridge Correctional Facility until his retirement.
As per Les’ wishes, a private family Celebration of Life will be held at the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
Thank you to Dr. Bruneau and staff, Home Care and Sobering Funeral Chapel for your compassion, care and services. Special thanks to Edward and Irene; Bob and Josie for your many acts of kindness, friendship and care for Les.
Goodbye my family – goodbye my friends.
My path of life has come to an end,
I have weathered it all through sun, wind and rain – through the joys, the heartaches, the tears and the pain.
I have lived my life and I did it my way!
Your memory will live forever engraved within our hearts.
