1928 ~ 2012

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved uncle, Leonard Domanski at East Gate Lodge on December 13, 2012, at the age of 84 years.

Leonard was born on March 6, 1928 in Sandhill, Manitoba, and lived most of his life in Seddons Corner, Manitoba

He is fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Eleanor (Bill) Komadowski, Bernice Preteau, Edward (Cecil) Myslicki, Ted (Rose) Myslicki, Paul Chanas, Audrey Walzer, Judy Soberlak, and numerous great nephews and nieces, and friends.

Leonard was very involved in his church, and was an avid photographer and fisherman.  He spent many years in the heavy construction industry in Northern Manitoba.  He never lost his love for large equipment, and in later years helped many friends and family with their construction projects.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at East Gate Lodge for the loving care they gave to Leonard in his final years.

Cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service was held on December 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E. in Beausejour.  Interment will be in May 2013 at the St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Leonard’s memory be made to East Gate Lodge or St. Joseph’s Polish National Church.
