1937 ~ 2011

On Thursday, September 29, 2011, Leni Steffensen passed away at the  Beausejour Hospital at the age of 73.  She was predeceased by her husband Harold (March 2010), brother Jerry of Whitemouth, brother-in-law John (Aug 2001), sister-in-laws Joyce (May 1999) and Ruth (April 2006).  Leni was survived by her two brothers Oscar (Nel) and Carlo (Willemien) of Holland, brothers-in-law Ernie, George (Anne), Robert (Marilyn), Ray (Norma) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Leni will be missed by her community as she was active by driving people into Winnipeg from surrounding districts to hospitals, doctor appointments or even for shopping.  She has volunteered in the hospital in Whitemouth, charities in Lac Du Bonnet and received a certificate of recognition for her work with the Hospice and Palliative Care unit in the Whitemouth Hospital.
