Laura passed away peacefully on Feb. 28, 2017 in the morning. Laura was born in Winnipegosis on May 8, 1915 to Abraham and Lillian Groff. Left to Cherish her memory are her daughters Brenda, Linda (Willy), 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a few nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her husband Ray and son Dale.
Her earlier years were spent in Winnipegosis. She loved sports and was proud to say she was once Manitoba Tennis Champ. Anything she did she exceled, beautiful handwriting winning penmanship awards. Mom was a beautiful knitter. She loved music, in her early years she played piano and she loved to sing. During entertainment at Sunnywood she would be singing along, remembering all the words to those old songs.
She married George Raymond Adam in 1949 and move to Pine Falls in 1959. She loved gardening and enjoyed trying new recipes. The coffee was always on with goodies of course.
Her last years she lived in Sunnywood Manor where she felt right at home, loving the staff and residents that took excellent care of her.
On Laura’s request, her ashes will be buried in Winnipegosis along side her parents in the town she loved so dearly.
