It is with inconceivable sorrow that I announce the sudden death of my beautiful beautiful wife on Saturday, January 31, 2015.

She will be missed with the greatest sorrow by her sister Stephanie Long Manchulencho, her  five children Ian (Becky), Sunny (Yutaka), Zoe, Lauren and Andrew, her six grandchildren Reimi, Owen, Maika, Kaya, Marlowe and Barett, close friends and many others whose lives she touched.

Ross Rankin and Kathy Long lived a close, private and very happy life in the Seddons Corner area of Manitoba over the last 30 years.

Condolences for the family of “Katherine (Kathy) Long”

Condolence from Jennifer Gyles on February 4th, 2015 8:32 pm

Hi Ross,
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. It seemed, from what little I knew of you both, that you and Kathy had made a life for yourselves that was unique and admirable. I cannot imagine how gutted you must feel with this current shocking circumstance. From earlier times, I have appreciated both of you, in different ways, because of your individual character strengths.I hope that you will somehow find the strength to surmount this current devastation and once again feel some positivity in your life. I’m sure it is hard to imagine now and how that could possibly happen in the future. But I wish that for you. My thoughts are with you. Please be well and find the strength to care for yourself at this unbelievably difficult time.
Jennifer

Condolence from Val Bullen on February 6th, 2015 12:35 pm

Dear Ross & family,
No words are adequate to express the sorrow over the loss of Kathy. I know that all who knew her will miss her terribly and I certainly wish I had had more time to speak with her. Kathy was a very sweet lady and I am sure she is at peace now.
I know that you will find strength in your faith and that all your spirits and Kathy’s will continue to grow ever stronger.
With love & prayers
From Val

Ross and family.
I only have words of condolences for you. Words will not be enough to help you with your pain right now. But remember that there are many people out there who are thinking of you.

Condolence from Bun & Linda Baxter on February 15th, 2015 4:16 pm

Ross

Such a sad time for you and all of your family. We feel a special light has been extinguished. Each time we talked to Kathy and you, it felt like it was just ‘yesterday’, the last time we had talked. Even when it had been years.
Your love, your special times together, is what all couples hope to have. Those beautiful memories will always be there.

Bun & Lindi
