Joe peacefully passed away in his sleep on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Beausejour Hospital at the age of 91.
Joe was born on January 30, 1925 in Ladywood, Manitoba. He lived on the family farm until moving to Pine Falls, Manitoba. Joe worked for Abitibi Price Paper Company for 37 years while still continuing to hobby farm in the Ladywood area. His true passions were Family, working the fields, vegetable gardening, and he would never turn down a chance to play a few hands of crib, or a trip to the casino.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Doris, son Ronald (Susan), daughter Cheryl Janz (Mike), and grandchildren (Natalie, Kate, Brady, Paige, Meagan), his sisters in law Carol Holyk and Adeline Popiel, as well as many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral Liturgy will take place Wednesday, November 9 at 11:00 a.m., St. Mary Roman Catholic Church (516 Atlantic Ave., Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0) with reception to follow in Brokenhead River Community Hall, 360 Veterans Lane, Beausejour, MB. Interment will take place in St. Mary Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
