December 5, 1946 ~ June 4, 2021
Claude also known as “Papa” to his children (Pam & Robert), grandchildren (Denice, Deanna, Dezzeray, Jamee, Chrysstyna, Aimey, Sheldon, Jodi, Cody, Robbert, Kirkland, Stephanie) and many great grandchildren suddenly left us on June 4th to meet his savior. Way too soon and way too suddenly for all his friends and loved ones that will miss him daily, but his spirit will live on through the cherished memories. We will cherish Claude’s appreciation and love for his family and friends; his sensitivity to feelings – his or yours; his story-telling of his life experiences over several morning cups of coffee; his meticulous advise on any and every topic at the dinner table; his joy of singing; his pride that glowed when talking about his French heritage; his generosity of his bountiful garden vegetables; his trips to the States with his girlfriend; his chef specialities – famous pancakes, homemade French fries, carrot ground coffee; his knowledge of the Bible; his willingness to help out with any situation that would arise and his carpentry skills that are displayed as far north as Cranberry Portage and definitely in the Lac du Bonnet area. Claude was definitely “A Jack of All Trades”. A true friend and loved one is never truly gone; Claude “also known as Frenchie to many of his friends” will remain in our hearts forever.
Claude is originally from Riveria blue, Temiscouata in Quebec. Claude had 11 brothers and sisters: Roland, Emile, Jannette, Yolande, Armand, Rita, Simone, Aline, Ronald, Lilianne, Jacques and loving parents Camile and Ida. Claude had several dreams and for many of them he was living them out daily in Maple Creek as we all know; but he never had the chance to go for another road trip to visit all his relatives or to complete his third book about his father.
A celebration of life will be determined when covid restrictions are lifted. Please share your memories of Claude and condolences to his family below.

We had great times when Uncle Claude would babysit Danny and me in Thompson. I will forever miss him. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Claudes sudden passing will leave a huge void in so many of our lives. I will always remember his cheerful “Bonjour”, the good-natured teasing during our trips to the States with Dave and the many entertaining card games we had. He was always there for me when I needed help in my house. I feel truly blessed to have been his friend and will deeply miss his honesty, wit and stories. May you rest in peace my friend. You will be missed.

I would like to wish Claudes family my deepest condolences.. Claude was not only someone who held a special place in my heart but he was also my best best friend. We made many plans for many adventures that unfortunately were cut short…you will forever remain in my thoughts and dreams.

Our deepest sympathy to Robert and Pam and their families. Suddenly, some days ago we experienced the loss of a dear and faithful friend – Claude. Claude could always be relied upon to help out in times of need. Claude and I spent many hours around the kitchen table playing cards as well as playing the guitar and the accordion, oh ya lets not forget the checker games as well. Our friendship extended as far back to Werner Lake Ont. In closing I am happy to say that as a born-again brother in Christ we look forward to meeting again.
