1985 ~ 2012
A much loved son and brother, Jordan Shaw of Thompson, MB, left us peacefully at home on December 24, 2012. Born on January 15, 1985 in Winnipeg, MB and moved to Thompson, MB in 1993 where he completed his education and entered the local work force.
During his short life he was a top athlete in many sports. He also enjoyed UFC, gardening and cooking with his dad, fishing with the family, especially with mom and his most recent interest, snowmobiling. Jordy was a gentle soul, a good friend, always soft spoken and kind hearted. He loved all animals, especially our dog Homer. Jordy always had everyone laughing, especially all his crazy faces he would make that only he could do. He liked to tease and play practical jokes and make his mom laugh. He was an amazing Uncle. All the kids followed him all over the house, always wondering what Uncle Jordy was up to and if he could play. He was such a big kid himself and they all looked up to him. Family was everything to Jordy and we were lucky to have spent so many wonderful times together over the years.
He is gone from us, but will never be forgotten by his dad Bernie, mom Cindy, sister Chelsea (Zezel), brother in-law Shawn, nephews Keith, Shawn and Drew and niece Natalie.
Missing You Always
You never said, I’m leaving
You never said, goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
and only God knows why.
A million times I needed you
A million times I cried
If love alone could have saved you
You never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly
In death I love you still
In my heart I hold a place
That only you can fill.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Juniper Centre in Thompson, MB. A family graveside service will take place at a later date in Southern Manitoba.

Jordy was a wonderful young man. He loved his sports and his friends. He was so happy go lucky and had such a bright smile. He made me laugh. We had many great times together in our home with he and James. My thoughts are with his parents Cindy and Bernie.

Words cannot express the sadness I have felt since learning of Jordy’s passing. My heart aches for his parents, his sister, and the rest of his family and friends. I will forever treasure all the good times we had together throughout high school, and will never forget his hilarious expressions, infectious sense of humor, and goofy-ness. Jordy was such a warm, caring friend that you could always count on. I will miss you buddy <3
