In Memorial

February 19, 1928 – September 20, 2020

Peacefully on September 20, 2020 our Father passed away in his sleep at the Whitemouth Personal Care Home, at the age of 92.

He is survived by his children, Mark (Wendy), and Monica (Joseph); granddaughters Amanda, Kassandra and Hannah (Maddie); sister Louise; niece Pat (Lorne), and many special friends and neighbours.  John was predeceased by his wife Sylvia, his brothers Gus and Bernard, and sister Marie.

He was born in Millstream, Kings County, New Brunswick.  John moved to Manitoba as a young man, and shortly after, started working for Manitoba Hydro.  He worked as a Mechanic in the garage in Great Falls, and after 30+ years retired, and remained in the community.

As a younger man, John enjoyed hunting, and working on neighbours’ cars.

As per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A private family interment will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in John’s name.

Condolence from Tim Haverlock on November 15th, 2020 4:26 pm

My heartfelt condolences go out to Monica, Mark and your families on the passing of your father. As a ‘lil gaffer growing in up in Great Falls my fondest memories of your father was either him working on cars at home and or interacting with him during Hydro Maintenance Shop coffee breaks when I visited my Dad who worked at the Paint Shop. When ever I seen him, John always had a kind word and a smile for me…..
