John passed away peacefully at the East Gate Lodge in Beausejour. He was born and raised in Lydiatt, Manitoba.
He is predeceased by his parents Alvina and Jacob; brothers George, Victor and Edward; sister Ella; and brother-in-law George.
John is survived by Jack (Erna), Gertie, Fred (Marie), nephews and nieces: David, Garry, Gerald, Bruce, Cindy, Fred, Eddie, Billy, and Karen, numerous great nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends and neighbours too numerous to mention.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in John’s memory to the Recreation Fund at East Gate Lodge.
A funeral service was held at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Lydiatt, MB on Thursday, January 5 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior. A Viewing was held from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, MB.
