I remember Jerry very fondly, the Farrs’ were a staple in our life growing up, both on Duke and also at the cabin on Setting Lake, Jerry always had a joy for life and I remember all the times mom and him would stay up late and solve the world’s problems. Many nights of laughs and games and boat rides, Once I was old enough to drive, a remember bringing mom out to see you and everyone made us feel welcome and like time never passed. I must share one story, I have told this again this past Easter. The Farrs’ were at the cabin for Easter and Jerry stayed up late to be the Easter Bunny for everyone. He did an excellent job hiding the chocolates for everyone….so good was he, in fact weeks later we found the Cadbury Cream Eggs that had all alluded us at the time. How did we find those eggs, by having the cabin lights on one evening and we could smell chocolate and could not figure out why. Jerry had put them in shades of the lights on the wall, the chocolate eggs had melted onto the shades. Jerry, always the smartest, biggest life of the party claimed it was him

We were saddened when we learned of Jerry’s death. Yes, he was a big hearted man with a love of people and a zest for life. When I first met Judy and Jerry I felt that they were real northeners, helpful and giving. We had lived in Yukon for several years before moving to Lac du Bonnet and then Pinawa and our experience of northern people was of how neighbourly they were. He will be missed greatly in Pinawa. We offer our sincere condolence to his family.
