Jean Kulikowsky

1921 ~ 2014

Jean Kulikowsky, beloved wife of the late John Kulikowsky, passed away peacefully on April 21 in Lac du Bonnet.

Jean is survived by her son Jeffrey Kulikowsky, his loving wife Kelly Clements and her brother Ron Annett.  Mom was born on Nov. 26, 1921 in Montreal, QC. Work was a very integral part of her life, from 1936-1963.  Jean was truly a career woman and worked for Young & Rubican for over 20 years in Montreal & Toronto.  Jean moved from Toronto to Pointe du Bois in 1963.  This was truly a journey about love.  Love for her husband John.

Mom truly had a passion for dancing, baking, skiing, skating, swimming, curling, walking and traveling.  Mom also enjoyed to play Bingo and venture out to gamble occasionally.  Every year mom would return to Montreal to visit family and friends until her health deteriorated.  Her travels allowed her to enjoy tropical beaches and mountain retreats.

Jean was actively involved in many community and charitable activities including but not limited to: Dancing in troop shows during the 2nd World war, teaching Sunday school: Kindergarten and 4-H and volunteering in the Royal Canadian Legion/Anglican church.

A celebration of Jean’s life will be held on April 29 at St. John’s Anglican Church in Lac du Bonnet with viewing at 1:00 p.m. and the service to follow at 2:00 p.m.

Flowers are gratefully declined.  If you wish, please make a donation in Jean’s memory to the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home: Attention to the Residents Council Account.

A truly sincere heartfelt thanks is given for the exemplary care, compassion and support Jean received.  This thanks goes out to all of her caregivers, volunteers and especially Colleen, who always went above and beyond for Jean.  Mom suffered many years with the degenerative disease of Alzheimer’s.

    Jeffrey & Kelly,
So sorry to hear of your Mothers passing, I have many fond memories of family occasions and visiting with your mom and dad!
There is a good chance you won’t recognize my name, as you were pretty young last time we met, but I am Uncle August and Aunt Anna Schuman’s youngest son!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time

    Wayne
