James (Jim) Malcolm Kines

1934 ~ 2015

After a valiant fight with cancer Jim lost his battle on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the age of 80 at HSC in Winnipeg.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years Shirley; son Jamie Kines (Tracy Sayer) and their children Audrey (Rob and Alannah) and Curtis; daughters Joanne (Michael) Mulvey and their children Alyssa and Nicholas, and Janet (Don) Rogocki and their children Eric, Ryan and Kailey.  Jim is also survived by his siblings Joyce (Bill) Kaatz, Betty (Fred) Litke, and Barry (Arlene) Kines.

The family would like to thank CancerCare Manitoba for all their care and compassion.

A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. East, Beausejour.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in Jim’s memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V5.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Jim. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Jim was a great neighbor when we lived in Beausejour. Sorry we are unable to make the service as we are out in Calgary at this time.
