October 7, 1965 to January 13, 2010
At the dawn of day, Jackie took flight on the wings of an angel after a short and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 44. Jackie is survived by her loving husband Claude, sons Armand and Branden as well as her brothers and sisters: Lucille (Denis), Henri (Irene), Terri, Paul (Jean), Armand (Helene), Maurice (Dolores), Aline (Gil) and numerous nieces and nephews. Jackie was predeceased by her father Albert, mother Georgianna and baby brother Bertrand.
Jackie, the youngest of nine children, grew up in Powerview, MB. She graduated from Powerview School and went on to further her education in Winnipeg. Jackie and Claude moved back to Powerview from St. Laurent to be closer to her parents. She enjoyed the time she was able to spend with them. Jackie worked for many of the local businesses in town and was currently employed with the RM of Alexander. She enjoyed her job and loved the people she worked with. Jackie had a quest for knowledge and was currently taking the Manitoba Municipal Administration course from the U of M.
Jackie will be fondly remembered for her thoughtfulness, zest for life, her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and truly kind nature. Her life was short but she made an impact on all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church in Powerview, MB. with Fr. James Gray presiding.
Donations, if so desired, may be made in honor of Jackie to the Library Allard in St. Georges where she had worked part time and loved every minute of it.
Jackie’s family and friends would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Spence and the medical staff of Pinawa Hospital for the special care she received during her stay.
Rest in peace our angel
