The family announces the passing of their loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, partner and sister, Irene Schwark on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the age of 83.
She was predeceased by her husbands Dan and Edward, her daughter Dale and her many siblings. She is lovingly remembered by her partner Jack, her children Valerie (Ron), Perry, Lyle (Patti), Greg (Ramona) and Kim (Wayne). As well, she is survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters Ruth (Lawrence) and Lily and her sisters in-law Lilly and Irene.
Irene was born and raised on the family farm in Stead, MB. She met and married her husband Dan. They raised their six children in Greenwald, MB and were married 35 years. After Dan’s passing, mom married Edward and they enjoyed each other’s company until his death 5 years later. In her later years, and until her passing, Irene and her companion Jack enjoyed their golden years together.
A special thank you to the staff at East Gate Lodge and Dr. Van Rensburg for all the care and compassion they showed towards our mother.
A Celebration of Irene’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation or East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home.
