It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mom, grandma and great grandma, Irene Kabaluk, at Pinawa Hospital on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 surrounded by her family.
Irene is survived by her loving husband Edward of 60 years, her children Lianne (Bruce) and J.J. (Paula), daughter in-law Leah, grandchildren Kristin, Shane (Jen), Sarah (Cassie), Sean, Brittany, and Chloe, great grandchildren Jaida, Lucas, Emmett, Peyton and Dylan. She was predeceased by her son Duane, her son in-law Ben, her dad Albert Stevens and her mother Aurore Stevens (nee Vincent).
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, December 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Notre Dame du Lac Roman Catholic Church in Lac du Bonnet.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes or CancerCare Manitoba.

I am sorry to hear of Irene’s passing. I remember spending hours with her in her hair salon at the hotel when I was young, the days of teased hair, hair spray and hair sparkles. I found it fascinating to watch her make her customers look glamorous. There were always smiles and laughter and she was always welcoming, patient and kind to me, and even made me think I was helping. My condolences to Eddie and family.
