I am so saddened to hear about Irene. I had the pleasure of being apart of her homecare team since 2020. We had such a special bond and I will miss her so very much. Big hugs to you all.

I am so very sorry for the loss of Irene. I had the pleasure of being apart of Irene’s homecare team since 2020 – Mom was a gem. Always asking about “her” Emma, and was looking forward to our visits this spring/ summer. I will miss her so very much. I cherished every moment I got to spend with her over the last 3 years. Irene – you have fought so hard to stay with us this past year, and i hope that you are pain free, and getting all the snuggles and puppy kisses in with Danika, I know how much you missed her! ♥️

What is there to say about Irene? I have known her for almost my entire life. She was a second Mom to me. When Glen and I became friends, I would often come to town. The novelty of life in town, cable TV and a short walk to everything on Park St was almost too much for a kid from the farm. Irene welcomed me in with open arms. I soon discovered how awesome two suppers could be, one at home and one courtesy of the Rerick’s. I might never get my tab paid up. Whether it was trips out to Seven Sisters, the sprint car track near Winnipeg or endless hockey trips, I always felt part of the family.

My whole family was treated this way. Mom and Dad became fast friends with Irene and Cliff. Likely for over 50 years now. My children came to learn of the wonders of the cake shop in the basement of the little house on 5th St.

You will be greatly missed Irene, but never forgotten. I am sure you are watching us and having a good belly laugh at some of the things we do.

My deepest condolences to Cliff, Glen and Debbie. Your mom will be missed. So sorry to hear of her passing. Enjoyed many laughs and good times at Church the Craft Shows etc. Know that many people are thinking of you and holding you in our hearts.

We were so sorry to hear of Irene passing, we will always remember spending many years in Arizona playing cards, going for breakfast at the golden coral Sunday morning and there was always cookies and a great supper when we arrived at Arizona we will remember visiting to home every summer, this time her body could not beat pneumonia we will miss you dearly love jack and Doris

I’m am so sorry to hear of Irene’s passing. Whenever I would see her she always had a welcoming “hello” and the brightest smile. During the years, I consumed many birthday cakes which she had made for my boys. Since She and Cliff became neighbours of my moms at the condo, I would walk over every year with a bag of rhubarb. She never refused and said “I will give to Debbie, she will use them and make me muffins”. . Debbie, I will continue to do that. My deepest condolences to you all. My mom and I will miss her

Our sincere sympathy. I was fortunate to take part in cake decorating and candy making classes. Many good times in that basement. From sharing of recipes to sharing of jokes. She was a very generous lady and it was so good of her to open her home to so many of us. She will be missed and remembered fondly by many.

Cliff, Debbie, Glen and families I am so sorry to hear about Irene. We sure had some great times with your mom and dad growing up and all those lovely cakes. Irene made the 25th anniversary cake for my mom and dad utilizing their original wedding topper. She was so talented and a great friend to those who knew her. My virtual hugs are coming your way. So sorry to hear about her passing. Condolences to the family. I remember Mrs. Rerick from when my sister and I would stay in town at my grandparents. Living just down the road from them we ventured to her house. She was always so kind, so cheerful and had such a talent for baking.

Our condolences to Cliff & all of Irene’s family. Irene was such a wonderful fun loving talented woman & we were so fortunate to have known her. She made many cakes for the bowling parties we had at Beausejour Lanes. Irene always said having the Dairy Bar next door was perfect mix for “ cake & Ice Cream” .

Cliff, Debbie, and Glen, I just heard of Irene’s passing, She is now at rest, I remember the cake decoration classes and the chocolate lessons, Irene was such a giving and fun loving person, she always had a smile no matter where you saw her. The craft shows will not be the same without her.

If you just look around, you will see Irene’s hand everywhere, she touched so many people, I am sure she will be one of those people who will always be fondly remembered by anyone she met, I know everytime I decorate a cake or make chocolates, she will be on my mind, Take care and God Bless you and your families during this sad time
