With family by her side, Irene peacefully passed away on September 9, 2018, at the age of 83, at the Betel Care Home in Selkirk.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Debbie (Lloyd), Loretta and Tom; grandchildren, Dena (Chris), Cory and Jacy; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Kyle, Kasyn and Carson. She was predeceased by her husband Art in 2017; her brother Ronnie in 2002; and her parents, Bill in 1982 and Mary in 1974.
Mom was born in Winnipeg on August 3, 1935 and resided in Whitemouth all her life. Mom’s passion was reading. She enjoyed doing crafts and making costumes. Over the years, mom was involved in the ELW and Whitemouth Community Club.
Funeral Service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Whitemouth on Thursday, September 13 at 2:00 p.m. with lunch to follow in the Whitemouth Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, CancerCare or a charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank all the staff and nurses, especially Jamie (fave) for their excellent care and compassion given to mom.
