It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Heather Marie Kerr who passed away at her home in Selkirk on March 17, 2020 at the age of 47.
She leaves to mourn her passing her 3 children Cody, Amber and Adam. She is survived by her parents John and Georgina Kerr, and her brothers Michael (Jocelyn) and Stephen (Lisa).
Many thanks to the RCMP, EMS, and Social Workers for the care and compassion they’ve shown toward Heather and our family through this difficult time.
Cremation has taken place and a private family funeral will take place with interment in the Pinawa Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.

Oh Heather, how I dreaded the day I heard this news. I have so many cherished memories of our time together growing up. We were Trouble and everyone knew it – and of course we proved that many times.
My best memory of all was our trip to Deep River – we had SO much fun – the CN Tower, being called scruff (private joke). I loved your zest for life and your determination to never give up. I have no words to describe the pain this has caused but I know you are now at peace! I love you hon! RIP

I am so very sorry for your loss. Heather was and always has been a great friend. I loved her and it breaks my heart that she’s gone. It seems so unreal. She struggled with her health so much in the last few years. At least now she’s at peace and no longer suffering. She has left a void in so many lives. How sorry I was to hear this news. Although I didn’t see Heather in many years, her mom always filled me in on things when I was home to visit my folks in Pinawa.
Heather & I became friends when we both worked at Otter Falls Resort waaay back when. We were roommates that summer and had just a bit of fun. How much trouble could a couple 15/16 year olds get into anyway? We would sneak down and make the most amazing ice cream sundaes and listen to music when we weren’t working. Such great memories.
We kept in touch for a few years & I attended her grad and then life took us on our varied paths.
I hope you are at peace and can see the memories & impressions you left on people.
